A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (βCDBGβ) FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR (βFYβ) 2026-2027, IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-TWO THOUSAND, EIGHTY-SEVEN DOLLARS ($742,087.00) IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE CATEGORY, FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE AGENCIES AND/OR DEPARTMENTS, SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT βA," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS, RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH FUND, FOR SAID PURPOSE.

WHEREAS, there is need for these funds to be reallocated to the agencies, as specified in Exhibit βA,β attached and incorporated, for public service activities; and
WHEREAS, the Cityβs Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds in the Public Service category, in the amount of Seven Hundred Forty-Two Thousand,Eighty-Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($742,087.00) from the Department of Housing and Community Development to the agencies, specified in Exhibit βA," attached and incorporated, for public service activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this section.
Section 2. The allocation of CDBG funds for FY 2026-2027 in the Public Service category, in the amount of Seven Hundred Forty-Two Thousand,Eighty-Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($742,087.00)from the Department of Housing and Community Development to the agencies, specified in Exhibit βA,β attached, and incorporated, for public service activities is authorized .
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute any and all necessary documents, including amendments, extensions, and modifications, all in forms acceptable to the City Attorney, subject to all federal, state, and local laws that regulate the use of such funds for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signatureby the Mayor.
