A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (βCDBGβ) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUNDS, FROM FISCAL YEAR (βFYβ) 2026-2027, IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FIFTEEN AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($551,915.00) AND AN ADDITIONAL ONE MILLION, ONE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED TWELVE AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($1,112,712.00) IN UNALLOCATED CDBG FUNDS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION, SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($1,664,627.00), FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF RESILIENCE AND PUBLIC WORKS, TO BE UTILIZED FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN DISTRICT 3, AS SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT βA," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS, RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND MO...

WHEREAS, a portion of CDBG funds from FY 2026-2027 in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty-One Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifteen and 00/100 Dollars ($551,915.00) need to be reallocated to the Department of Resilience and Public Works tobe utilized for economic development activities in District 3; and
WHEREAS, an additional amount of unallocated CDBG economic development funds from previous years in the amount of One Million,One Hundred Twelve Thousand,Seven Hundred Twelve and 00/100 Dollars ($1,112,712.00), earmarked for District 3, must be allocated; and
WHEREAS, the Cityβs Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG economic development funds from Fiscal Year 2026-2027, in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty-One Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifteen and 00/100 Dollars ($551,915.00) and an additional amount of One Million,One Hundred Twelve Thousand,Seven Hundred Twelve and 00/100 Dollars ($1,112,712.00) of unallocated CDBG economic development funds from previous years, for a total amount of One Million,Six Hundred Sixty-FourThousand,Six Hundred Twenty-Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($1,664,627.00), from the Department of Housing and Community Development to the Department of Resilience and Public Works, to be utilized for economic development activities in District 3, as specified in Exhibit βA," attached and incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of CDBG economic development funds from Fiscal Year 2026-2027, in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty-One Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifteen and 00/100 Dollars ($551,915.00) and an additional amount of One Million,One Hundred Twelve Thousand,Seven Hundred Twelve and 00/100 Dollars ($1,112,712.00) of unallocated CDBG economic development funds from previous years, for a total amount of One Million,Six Hundred Sixty-Four Thousand,Six Hundred Twenty-Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($1,664,627.00), from the Department of Housing and Community Development to the Department of Resilience and Public Works, to be utilized for economic development activities in District 3, as specified in Exhibit βA," attached and incorporated, is authorized .
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute any and all necessary documents, including amendments, renewals, extensions, and modifications, all in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, as may be necessary to implement the transfer of said funds.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature by the Mayor.
